Yumble Roermond was an amusement park in the municipality of Roermond in the Netherlands. The park was presented as a "theme park" of the future" because of its attractions based on state-of-the-art projection techniques and 3D effects.
The target audience was from 12 to 16 years old.
Yumble opened on March 21, 2015, and closed on July 21, 2015, the indoor park was open for no less than 4 months.
The park then worked with time slots on which you could enter, from 10 to 1 and from 1 to 5.
The client was Brand New Leisure B.V and the surface area is 9,000 m2.
An investment of 22 million euros was involved in the construction of the project. After disappointing visitor numbers and financial problems.
Yumble also had an Interactive 3D Dark Ride with the trackless Ride System from ETF (known from Symbolica in De Efteling, Kaatsheuvel Netherlands) called Mia & Me and the simulator Tim's Rescue.
Mia & Me had no physical sets but only screen-based.
The successor to Yumble, the Magic World of Lights festival, did not make it either. It closed again five weeks after opening because this time the visitors stayed away.
The former Yumble entrepreneurs Daan de Kruijk and Marc Koerts stood at the cradle of the flight simulator This is Holland in Amsterdam, but that project was taken over by real estate company Nedstede.
With the catering industry, a cart passed by with food every hour. And many children came for Popcorn or a Hotdog, but you had to have special coupons for that in advance. The indoor park also had a so-called "eating moment" when all attractions closed for an hour at noon and then everyone had to eat.
