In 2002, Vekoma Manufacturer (VEeld KOning MAchinefabriek) opened the very first so-called 'Tilt Coaster' in 'Discovery World', Taichung Taiwan; "Gravity Max." The park then still had the name; "Lihpao Land."

You go up the lift hill and on top of the lift hill you are brought to a stop, with a backup (should the brakes ever fail) there is a pin that stops the train at the front of the train, and a hook that goes behind the train is hooked. And then the track tilts completely vertically, then you are released and you continue the track.

'Gravity Max' is 34.7 meters high and has a speed of 90.1 km/h, ride time of 2 minutes and 26 seconds, and 3.5 G-forces, 1 loop. The Gravity Max has a maximum vertical angle of 90 degrees and the coaster is 568 meters long.

Gravity Max was the only Tilt Coaster in the world, after 14 years this changed. The Chinese roller coaster builder 'Golden Horse' built the world's first-ever 'Dueling Tilt Coaster' in 2016 at the Chinese amusement park called 'Hefei Sunac Land', Anhui, China; "Battle of Jungle King." The 2 coasters are built in a mirror image of each other, one side is called 'Tiger' and the other 'Dragon.' The 'Tiger' side has two inversions and the 'Dragon' side has three inversions.

Vekoma is working on a new concept of the 'Tilt Coaster' that should be even better than the current model. In 2018, it was announced that Energylandia amusement park from Zator, Poland posted a photo with the "Gravity Max" on it and the park's logos that read "future new attraction." Energylandia wants the scoop and would like to have the latest generation of the 'Tilt Coaster' in their park. The park has not been mentioned anywhere else, when and what year it should come. Vekoma has already built 8 different coasters in the amusement park.
