Toy Story Midway Mania! Is an interactive dark ride in Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's California Adventure, and Tokyo DisneySea theme parks. The dark ride is inspired by the Toy Story movies and franchise.
In terms of design, all three locations of the attraction are similar. The queue consists of several rooms in which enlarged toys can be found. Here the illusion is created that visitors have shrunk. The eye-catcher in the queue is animatronic by Mr. Potato Head. He sings and speaks to visitors. He also regularly pulls his ear out of his head with his hand and then puts it back in.
Disney's Hollywood Studios:
In January of 2007, the new attraction was announced in the amusement park itself. That same year, the construction of the dark ride started. The attraction opened, marking the first Toy Story Midway Mania! of all Disney parks worldwide.
Disney's California Adventure:
In January 2007, the dark ride was announced at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Shortly afterward, the construction of the attraction started. Toy Story Midway Mania! open to the public.
Tokyo DisneySea:
In the American Waterfront-themed area under the name Toy Story Mania!
